Plaisance Self-Catering Cottage Holidays

A charming centuries old traditional Sark cottage, fully modernized and equipped with accommodation comprising:

· Living room/dining room with original stone fireplace containing old furze (bread oven) oven and wood burning stove, colour television, payphone.

· Small modern fully equipped kitchen with gas oven, extractor hood, fridge, microwave oven etc. with all cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils.

· Shower room with washstand basin, W.C.

· Ground floor bedroom with two single beds or can convert to double bed.

· 1st floor bedroom a large bedroom being an attic conversion of approximately 26 feet long with modern pine furniture, double bed also with single bed (ideal if a child needed to share parents room) with views over open farmland, the sea and also to Jersey and France beyond.

Outside there is a small paved courtyard with a wooden bench table and chairs ideal for sitting out and al-fresco dining.

The location of Petit Plaisance is within only a few hundred yards of La Coupée (the high narrow isthmus (causeway) that joins Big Sark to Little Sark) and Grand Grève beach (the biggest and best sandy beach on Sark).

 Plaisance is also home to Caragh Chocolates and stands in private grounds of some 15 acres of paddocks, fields and cliff lands to wander around and explore.

There is also a 40 feet heated outdoor swimming pool that can be used by arrangement along with swings and a trampoline for children to play on.

We provide all bed linen and towels, we just ask that you provide your own beach towels.

Petit Plaisance is an ideal base for a superb holiday on Sark, whether your are young or old, a couple or two couples and it is especially suited to families. The cottage can accommodate ideally four people or five if the fifth is a child that was to share the parents bedroom. The location of Petit Plaisance is rural, being far away from the madding crowd, yet only ten minutes away by bicycle to the village. Nearby too are several hotels and restaurants, all with non-resident facilities.
